It is her second race in IZOD IndyCar and she is the fastest rookie and female driver.

Indianapolis, IN (May 22, 2010) - Dreyer & Reinbold Racing can leave the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with their heads held high tonight. The team’s drivers Mike Conway (No. 24 Dad’s Root Beer), Justin Wilson (No. 22 Z-Line Designs), Tomas Scheckter (No. 23 Mona Vie), and Ana Beatriz (No. 25 Ipiranga) all qualified in the top-24, securing them a starting position for the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500 and making Dreyer & Reinbold Racing the only four-plus car team to get all of their cars in the show.

Like her teammates, rookie Ana Beatriz also turned heads. She quickly proved that she is no stranger to the famed 2.5-mile oval. Beatriz competed in the Firestone Indy Lights Freedom 100 event in 2008 and 2009. The Brazilian was the first to qualify for the team today. Unfortunately, her time was bumped out and she had to re-qualify, but she quickly secured the 21st position. Beatriz’s average speed was 224.243 mph, making her the highest qualified rookie and female driver.

Ana Beatriz, No. 25 Ipiranga: “Today was great and I’m very happy. It was a crazy afternoon trying to get more speed with the car, but luckily we were able to get out there and do it. So far, I’m the fastest rookie and that’s fantastic.”
