After complete the Rookie Orientation Practice, Bia get back to track with the entire field. Indianapolis, IN (May 18, 2010) - Luckily, the weather managed to stay away and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing drivers, Mike Conway (No. 24 Dad’s Root Beer), Justin Wilson (No. 22 Z-Line Designs), Tomas Scheckter (No. 23 Mona Vie), and Ana Beatriz (No. 25 Ipiranga), were able to get back on track. Although practice was cancelled yesterday, the quartet managed to make good progress with their respective cars for the third day of practice for this year’s 94th running of the Indianapolis 500. At first, it seemed like the weather would keep the team from being able to run again, but fortunately the four managed to get some practice time in. The DRR drivers worked closely with the team’s engineering staff to diligently chip away at the race setup and now they can gradually start to prepare the cars for this week’s qualifying. Rookie Beatriz, in the No. 25 Ipiranga car, had a very successful day. After being the first rookie to complete Rookie Orientation Practice on Sunday, she was able to complete her first full practice with the entire field. The Brazilian completed 45 laps recording a top speed of 221.971 mph, making her 31st quickest for the session. Ana Beatriz, No. 25 Ipiranga: “I think the day was very productive. We tried a couple of things on the car and I always felt very comfortable and confident with the changes. We are getting better and that’s very positive. The goal is to keep working for it and we can get closer to the top.”
