For the first time, Bia is invited to join the International Challenge of Champions karting. This event will be in Florianopolis, Brazil. Firestone Indy Lights driver Ana Beatriz will race against some of Brazil's top racers in the star-studded field for the International Challenge of Champions karting event on Nov. 28-29 in Florianopolis, Brazil. Beatriz, the first female driver to win a Firestone Indy Lights race, is the only female driver entered in the race, which is hosted by Formula One driver Felipe Massa. Among the other drivers slated to compete are IZOD IndyCar Series drivers Tony Kanaan and Mario Moraes, former IZOD IndyCar Series competitor Felipe Giaffone, current Formula One drivers Rubens Barrichello, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Giancarlo Fisichella and seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher. "I'm very happy and honored get an invitation (to the race)," Beatriz said. "It is not every day that you have the chance of compete with big names in the world of racing." |
